Hello and welcome everyone!

Whether you are a Builders’ Alumni or current Builders’ Student, if you’re a parent or friend or family member, welcome and thank you for attending Builders’ School’s first ever Foundation Day: a celebration of the school’s tenth anniversary.

A decade, no matter how you measure it in terms of years, months, weeks, or days, is a very long time. But time, like always, makes you believe that all those years, months, weeks, and days seem like they’ve passed by in the blink of an eye. Ten years ago, the Builders’ School was merely a concept in Teacher Vic, Teacher Aleta, and Teacher Hysper’s heads. And now, there is an actual school standing on JP Rizal Street with actual teachers and actual students.

To me, the Builders’ School has grown to be more than just a school. It’s a community where lasting relationships are formed and lessons outside the classroom and curriculum are learned. This is what I’ve realized after I left and I hope all the other alumni realize this too. Spending three years in another school has made me realize more than ever that Builders’ School is a part of me.

And it’s not just because my parents taught there. It’s because it helped me grow as a person and get to where I am now.

And I hope it still continues to do so with its future students.

Here’s to those seven years of grade school that helped me push through with almost three years of high school.

Here’s to the friends we’ve all made during our time in Builders’.

Here’s to the past, present, and future students of the school.

Here’s to the teachers who’ve dedicated their time to help us learn more than what’s in the prescribed curriculum.

And lastly, here’s to ten years of Builders’ School.
